Unfortunately for the Iron Priests, the aircraft they are forced to pilot just so happens to be one of the ugliest and retarded looking flying cargo containers in the Imperial Navy. Similar to their Techmarine cousins, Iron Priests usually pilot Space Wolves gunships and aircraft. He is also required to tend to the spirits of the Dreadnoughts in the depths of the Fang, and it is his duty to rouse them from their deep slumbers if they are needed in battle while at the same time, taking care of their battle-brother's pet dogs in the process.

He is required to keep the equipment of his Great Company in working order, maintain the machine spirits of its vehicles in addition to all other duties of a Techmarine. The Iron Priests are part of the Space Wolves chapter and their duty is that of a Techmarine but with additional quirks. at least toaster sex is still far more explainable then dog fucking.

Beyond that, it was a pretty straight forward kitbash though, even though the old style backpacks are a bit of a pain in the arse to get to sit right on the Primaris backplates.Well. The right arm had to be adapted significantly to fit, and I had to carve off the Iron Priest's original hand on the hammer. The backpack, helmet, and right pauldron are unmodified Iron Priest parts just glued on, and the left pauldron is just one with the embossed Blackmanes emblem out of my bits box. As for the right arm - the lower arm beneath the elbow is the Iron Priest's bionic arm, and from the elbow up it's an Intercessor arm that held a bolt pistol of some sort that seemed to have about the right angle. (Parts 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 off the sprue if I'm not mistaken)Īfter that, I dove into my bits box to find the full left Intercessor arm from my SW Primaris Start Collecting box. If memory serves It's the 11b Primaris Intercessor torso from the instruction manual you get with the box - it was the one I found to be most similar to the basic pose of the Iron Priest.
